Christmas as the End of Sacrifice!
I love the idea that Christmas symbolizes the End of
Sacrifice. At last it doesn't have
to be all about the idea of giving presents and losing money, finally! Now Christmas can mean something entirely
new, the experience of gaining everything and having our hearts burst open to
true love.
The reading “Christmas as the End of Sacrifice” from A Course in Miracles is truly a gift. This Christmas it suggests that we give the Holy Spirit everything that hurts us and receive the gift of full release from pain. No longer do we have to bind ourselves to the idea that there is something outside of our one Self, demanding us to sacrifice peace, love and trust. No, this Christmas we are going to know our Self as free, and that has nothing to do with this world.
Give the gift this Christmas that you know yourself and you’re in love. Light knows no boundaries and this gift will gently dissolve all the rules and regulations you have used to bind yourself and your brother. Give the gift of freedom this Christmas. You are free, and it is never a sacrifice to accept it!

It's Christmas again. The shops are filled with people buying gifts
and food. Evocative sounds and smells fill the air bringing back
memories of wonderful past Christmases. The roads and airways are
getting busier. Millions soon will be heading home for the holidays to
catch up with family and friends and recapture the love and comfort of
Christmases they remember....
I used to
think that I knew what 'sacrifice' meant. I used to think that this was

cherished, maybe even one's own life, for the good of someone else --
what could be more noble than that?
Fear not to
recognize the whole idea of sacrifice as solely of your making. And seek not
safety by attempting to protect yourself from where it is not. Your brothers
and your Father have become very fearful to you. And you would bargain with
them for a few special relationships, in which you think you see some scraps of
