| On What Does Your Freedom and Peace of Mind Depend? |

There would be no need of recovery if there were not a human experience of bondage, pain and suffering and thus a yearning to be free of it. Everyone in your world suffers and takes these symptoms of addiction as a “normality” of human experience. I used it to justify self-pity and to continue to act out addictively until I finally realized what is offered to me by God. Would it not be great to always be completely free and at peace? Is it not desirable for you to be free of pain, of suffering and separation anxieties? How much are you willing to give for your recovery, your freedom from yourself, truly for your Awakening?
Talking for myself I can only say that I was bound by my own ideas. I lived a human life without any awareness of the insanity I made up to stay separate, letting it direct and have an effect on me. I was addicted to my self-will to accomplish my limited goals and die a little happier than the “others.” Just check for yourself if you haven’t surrounded your “freedom” with witnesses of ephemeral reflections which are designed to confirm you in your hopeless state of mind that pain-dependency and partial bondage are bearable and tolerable.
By the grace of God, an Awakening Experience has occurred to me and changed my entire history. Back in the world I was an addict of any kind, mostly a co-dependent, alcoholic and user of anything that would let me feel a little better - from food to certain drugs to work and biochemical and physiological excesses through sports - anything that could alter my consciousness. Being sober for more than 7 years and active in the Program for more than 3 years, I am in full service of the extension of the solution, this Great Awakening, within an association of a like-minded brotherhood, living now in the miracle of recovery day-by-day in Wisconsin Dells. If your freedom does not entirely depend on God, if you do not allow God to enter into your affairs and show you your true Identity, you will not even notice that you assert your will to stay in control of your relationships and dreams of co-dependent behavior in addictions of any kind. Thus you don’t have to make your inventory, face your fear of loss, your fear of true love, and can stay “sick and fine,” still believing you are able to manage your life. But there is truly a “way-out,” a way to free yourself from all addiction and misery - if you so desire. Let’s not kid each other! All your man-made remedies are nothing but toys to make you feel a little better, but far away from a real solution. What you need is a program that uproots your way of thinking. I am simply speaking about the change of my own perception. In changing my mind, the world I see will change accordingly, and did. The 12-Step-Program, as well as the systematic Mind Training Program of A Course in Miracles, (both represented through my own personal experience and offered freely to everyone willing to stop acting out co-dependent addiction, drinking or using) are solely about Self-recognition and dependence on God. To wake up from the dream of separation is not comparable to small worldly improvements and requires a “one hundred percent” readiness – determination. If you are less than one hundred percent ready, the accomplishment of your own Self-recognition seems to be difficult, but not impossible, and this is a state of affairs that the ego is comfortable with. The ego (what you are in time) offers salvation in a future goal or death. It, then, is rather experienced in progressing toward something that is not yet here and has to be searched for or waited upon, the idea of starting sobriety tomorrow, rather than having an immediate release. Yet any compromise will always require a new choice in the recognition of the difference between the perfection of God and striving for a self determined objective. Are you motivated to join with the Mind of God and find yourself completely well and free, living in recovery without any reason whatsoever? Can you feel the attraction of God’s Love rather than the promotion of words? Well, then have a look at what’s offered to you in this contact now, having a new experience in a local 12 Step Meeting, checking out this website and listening to our meetings held here in Wisconsin, or contacting us in order to see for yourself - (For details, please also visit: www.acimi.com and www.themiracletimes.com ). Anyway, you are only seeing yourself as you see only the past in your worldly dream. By your presence and willingness to allow the undoing of fear to take place, this Higher Power we call The Holy Spirit, or say God’s Grace, God’s Mediator, will remove all illusions for you. And your recovery, literally your salvation from your nightmare, is guaranteed. The Plan comes from God and not from you or your idols. This Program is divinely orchestrated. Therefore the only decision you can make is to welcome His Plan for you who are His Creation to ...be limitless, and like Himself in freedom and in love.
