Mind!

This month we're looking at the idea of mind, that when your mind changes the whole world transforms. The 12 Step program focuses on your total responsibility for your own thoughts, period. That is the only way to get out of the addiction, the cravings, and the need to for something else to fix you. Total responsibility for your actions which stem from your thoughts. The great part about this solution is that God is there, in your mind, always with you. He can enter into to your thinking, if you let Him, and give you another experience. But you have to invite Him into your thoughts, and then lo and behold your actions become Godly. You begin to see God everywhere. You no longer believe in coincidences because you believe in prayer and the miraculous nature of depending on your Higher Power. It all starts and ends in your mind.

One of the articles this month, "Experiencing Self Realization", looks at a personal experience of transformation through a miraculous surrender of mind. The author realized that she could no longer cope in this world on her own, she needed help. Our other article, "Temptations Dissipate in a Peaceful Mind", demonstrates that when your mind changes people around you start to heal. This article also leads into our Course in Miracles reading for this month "The Circle of Atonement", as the author explains how useful this section was to her.

And finally we have an article on the Green Lake Round-up. Every year a group of us travel to Green Lake Wisconsin for an annual AA conference. This year the speakers were amazing!! James P. and Margratta S. totally demonstrated what it means to be God dependent. They were truly inspirational and the article "My Experience at the Green Lake Round-Up" tells of one participants experience.

Online 12step and Course Conference: We want to remind you of our Online Course in Miracles and 12 Step Conferences. It’s always a one day conference taking place on the first Saturday of every month. This month we had it on Saturday September 1st and it was a real thrill to have Devevan, Jas and Jennifer join us.
